Kristina is very involved and active in her community. She sits on the Board of Directors for the YWCA of Greater Johnstown, is a volunteer for Beginnings Inc., and is active on the committees for the local Bandshell Bark, the annual Cambria-Somerset Heart Ball as well as the Heart Chase, both for the American Heart Association. Kristina is also an active member of St. Nicholas Serbian Orthodox Church in Johnstown, PA, where she sings and is Vice President of the choir, secretary of the Circle of Serbian Sisters, and volunteers at various church functions and events. She is also the Chairperson of the Cambria-Somerset Outstanding Young Woman Scholarship Program that awards scholarship dollars to junior girls in high school. Kristina has been involved in the arts for 29 years. She has experience in many different dance genres, has performed in musicals and local fundraisers, and also plays the saxophone and clarinet (which she is still actively playing in a community concert band). Today, she continues to share her love of dance with her dance students at Le Dance Academie in Salix, PA and color guard students at Conemaugh Township Area High School. She is also the Choreographer for the musical at Greater Johnstown High School.
Recently, Kristina won the World Title of Ms. Universal 2017 in Richmond, England. Kristina spent almost two weeks exploring London, England and a few days in Paris, France with her fellow contestants. She competed against ladies from around the Globe and won best interview and best gown in addition to the overall title of Ms. Universal. This was the next phase of competition for Kristina after being crowned Ms. US Universal 2016 in Reno, Nevada. Kristina is planning to continue her work with her platform, H.E.A.L.T.H.Y.- Helping Everyone Achieve a Lifestyle To a Healthy You, while promoting the pageant’s motto, “Dare. Dream. Believe.” To further promote her platform, Kristina published a cookbook, “H.E.A.L.T.H.Y. Eats” and features her recipes through a monthly cooking spot on WTAJ’s “Central PA Live”. All proceeds from cookbook sales are going to be used to purchase stationary bikes to be donated to area schools as part of the National “Read and Ride” program, which planning is already in the works with Kristina’s Alma Mater, Greater Johnstown. It is her goal to start a program in every school district and Catholic school in Cambria and Somerset Counties and at least one district in each county in Pennsylvania. Kristina is also extending her platform on an international level, through her work with the Lifeline Humanitarian Organization a relationship that she established as Ms. USA when she organized a fundraiser that brought the Crown Prince and Princess of Serbia to her hometown of Johnstown, PA. The organization provides help to Serbian orphanages, many of which are still rebuilding from the war in Serbia. The event was not only monumental for bringing the first ever royalty to Johnstown, but it was also successful in raising over $7,000 for the orphanages.
Kristina is always looking for opportunities to share her platforms, serve as a public speaker, and give back to the community. If you would like to contact her for your event, please contact her are email@example.com or wwww.facebook.com/RealMsUniversal.
